SB 223 -- AIR POLLUTION EMISSION FEES
SPONSOR: Rupp (Funderburk)
COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Transportation by a vote of 9 to 0.
This bill requires the Air Conservation Commission to establish
fees for air pollution emission permits issued under Chapter 643,
RSMo, every three years instead of annually. Annual adjustments
are allowed as governed by the rules established by the
commission.
FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds in FY 2008, FY 2009, and
FY 2010.
PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the bill will help stakeholders
adjust their fees for budgeting purposes.
Testifying for the bill were Senator Rupp; and Department of
Natural Resources.
OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
